Tire bolts are core fasteners connecting automobile wheel hubs and axles, directly related to the safety of vehicle driving, and are key components ensuring the firm combination of tires and the vehicle body.
They are mostly made of high-strength carbon steel or alloy structural steel (such as 35CrMo) of grade 8.8 or above. After quenching and tempering treatment, their tensile strength can reach 800-1000MPa, which can bear radial load, impact force and torque when the vehicle is running. The surface is often galvanized or electrophoretic treated to enhance rust resistance, so as to cope with the erosion of complex road conditions such as rain and mud.

In terms of structure, the head is mostly conical or spherical, which matches the corresponding groove on the wheel hub to ensure tight fit; the rod body adopts coarse thread for easy quick installation and disassembly, and some are designed with knurling to improve the anti-skid effect of the wrench. During installation, it is necessary to fasten evenly diagonally according to the specified torque (usually 80-150N·m) to avoid hub deformation or bolt fracture caused by uneven stress. Daily inspection of whether the bolts are loose or the threads are damaged is required, and timely replacement is needed if problems are found. As the “connecting bridge” between the tire and the vehicle body, its reliability directly affects the driving stability and braking safety of the vehicle.
